Equest Gel contains the active ingredient moxidectin and provides horse owners with a safe and effective
single dose control against a broad spectrum of internal parasites, including bots (Bot fly larvae). It also offers
a unique single dose control of all stages of the harmful and potentially fatal cyathostomin (small strongyle)
larvae encysted in the horse’s gut wall and is the only wormer to kill cyathostomin larvae ingested by the horse
for a full two weeks after treatment. Equest delays the re-appearance of strongyle eggs for 90 days, offering
parasite and bot control with just four treatments a year. Equest is also the only wormer to carry on killing small
redworm larvae ingested while your horse grazes for a further two weeks after treatment, cleaning the pasture
of this parasite and reducing your horse’s exposure to re-infection. Equest is also kind to the environment.
With lower toxicity to dung dwelling insects than ivermectin-based wormers, insects can carry on cleaning the
pasture of dung. Equest is formulated as an easy to use, palatable clear gel that melts in the horse’s mouth.
The syringe (included), contains sufficient gel to treat a horse with up to 700kg of bodyweight and is safe for
use in breeding mares, stallions and foals over 4 months old.
