Tetra Pond - AlgoRem - 250g
Tetra Pond AlgoRem rapidly clears pond water by binding suspended algae (green water) together, causing it
to form clumps that can easily be removed. Use Tetra Pond AlgoRem whenever the water begins to turn green,
to help keep your pond crystal clear & healthy. Prior to each application check the carbonate hardness (KH) of
the pond water (min. 3°dH) to avoid unstable water conditions and harming the fish. Shake thoroughly before
use. Add 10ml of AlgoRem for every 200 litres of pond water. Following treatment, remove as much clumped
algae from the pond as possible in order to prevent it rotting down and releasing more nutrients into the water.
It is advisable, as with any algae-removing remedy, to aerate the water during treatment. Always read the
instructions carefully before use, especially in softwater areas, or following periods of heavy rainfall.
For garden pond treatment only. *Not suitable for sturgeons.
Tetra Pond - AlgoFin - 250ml
Tetra Pond AlgoFin is an HSE approved (HSE7695) algaecide and effectively destroys stubborn blanketweed
and other common species of algae in garden ponds including floating and slime algae. It targets and attacks
the organism and metabolism of algae, impeding their ability to photosynthesise. The special active ingredient
in Tetra Pond AlgoFin is effective over a period of around 2-3 weeks and will also help prevent further algae
growth. Shake thoroughly before use. Add 50 ml of AlgoFin for every 1000 Litres (220 Gallons) of pond water.
Add a half dose every 4 to 6 weeks for long-term suppression. Use algaecides safely. Always read the label
and product information before use. *Please note: Do not use Tetra Pond AlgoFin in wildlife ponds or in
ornamental ponds, where frogs and toads might be spawning.
Tetra Pond - MedFin - 250ml
Tetra Pond MedFin is an effective treatment for most common pond fish diseases. Changes in the weather
and the temperature in pond water can cause stress to the pond life inside. This leaves them more susceptible
to infections & diseases. As soon as you treat the fish, the better for their health in the long run. Tetra MediFin
contains a combination of active ingredients that work effectively to combat diseases like bacteria, parasites
and fungi. The treatment also supports wound healing and prevents secondary infections. Tetra Pond MedFin
is easy to use and safe for plants and fish. Simply add 50ml of the treatment per 1150 Litres of pond water.
Repeat after 7 -10 days if the recovery is not complete. Tetra Pond MediFin can also be used as a preventative
remedy during sensitive times of the year such as the spring & autumn.Do not use MediFin in conjunction with
other pond treatments, except those in the Tetra Pond range. Always read the instructions carefully before use.
Animate - Barley Straw for Ponds
Animate Barley Straw for Ponds is a natural treatment for green pond and blanket weed. To use, float the net
of barley straw on your pond - ideally it should be tethered just below the surface, near a water outlet. As it
decomposes it will use up a large amount of nitrogen which algae and blanket weed require to survive. Without
this nitrogen the algae & blanket weed cannot survive due to their lack of root and leaf structure. Other plants
in your pond which have leaves & roots will be able to flourish as normal even with the lower levels of nitrogen.
Use one net of Barley Straw per 1000 gallons of pond water. For smaller ponds of less than 500 gallons, cut a
net of Barley Straw in half, re-tie the ends and use one half at a time. When the straw has almost fully decayed,
put a fresh net into the pond and then two weeks later remove the old one. Animate Barley Straw is suitable for
use all year round.
