  Summer will inevitably bring rain showers, and some horses and ponies can be prone to mud fever which is a nasty bacterial condition that causes swelling, inflammation and pain.   Hooves are also put under pressure from the wet weather leading to muddy paddocks and fields.

Worming

Worming is probably the most important part of keeping your horse or pony strong and healthy. Missing a week or two "here and         there" will not save you any money, but may cause expensive visits to the vet - and we all know what such visits are likely to cost!  S.P.R. Centre are classified POM-VPS and NFA-VPS to sell horse wormers, and now is the time to target tapeworm, either with a double dose of Pfizer -  Strogid-P Paste, or a single dose of either Virbac - Equimax or Equest - Pramox.  We also stock a variety of other professional horse worming treatments including  Eqvalan, Exodus, Panacur and Janssen - Imaverol.                                    To see exactly what we have in stock, visit the S.P.R.   We also have products to help horses who suffer with respiration problems. These include: N.A.F. - Kof Eze for a tickly throat,

                                 Horse Treats and Boredom Breakers.
Why not treat your horse or pony to a stable toy such as the Likit - Boredom Breaker, The Likit - Snack-a-Ball, or The Likit - Tongue Twister to keep them from the frustrations of being cooped up     in a stable for periods of time. These toys can also be used to slow your horse's consumption of food which is beneficial to their digestion
